After a student exchange in Turkey, Daniel Fazlić traded the Bosporus for keyboards and Excel spreadsheets, turning his focus to journalism—first in television, then in digital newsrooms. It didn’t take long for him to realize where he truly felt at home: not with camera newsrooms, but on digital platforms. Before becoming director of digital development at Bloomberg Adria, he honed his skills at various media outlets in Slovenia and abroad.
Fazlić can also be described as one of the pioneers who merged digital savvy with media analytics expertise to deliver readers the fastest and most accurate insights. Today, his focus is on artificial intelligence (AI), as he believes tomorrow’s journalists will need to use these tools daily if they want to make a mark in an oversaturated media landscape.
