Since joining IPG Mediabrands in southeast Europe, over 17 years ago, Katarina Kostić has been committed to transformation and innovation across agencies and the region.
Southeast Europe and Balkan is keeping up with the global industry trends. Bringing global trends to smaller European region has always been her biggest drive. Katarina’s eagerness to do things differently across internal processes and in client servicing has brought huge success to IPG Mediabrands in SEE, now employing over 250 specialists, with more than 60% women and 2/3 across managerial roles.
Throughout the years the client list has been impressive and built on regional entrepreneurial drive. The client list has been growing and includes The Coca-Cola Company, L’Oreal, H&M, Carlsberg, Nestle, Lego, Ahold Delhaize, Molson Coors, A1….
She led agencies in transformation from media planning/buying to connections architects, she pushed for deep integration of digital into each segment of everyday work, from strategies to implementation.
Today, as a deputy CEO for Southeast Europe, her role is to secure that data and human insights are at the core of our service, making our agencies key business advisors to our clients that fully understand transformative power of data in brining results to clients. Her mission is to integrate data and analytics in innovative approach to planning, investment, and custom content creation.
Part of the transformation is the change in talent recruitment and challenges that face any media agency, moving from analog, old times to data and digitally transformed and encouraging employees to be innovative and entrepreneurial in their thinking on daily level.
Katarina participates in several regional juries and boards, including serving as a jury member at Effie Serbia, member of IAA Serbia, lecturer and spoke person across numerous industry events in the region.
She is a graduated art historian with MA in media & communications from Goldsmiths, University of London, part-time florist designer, mum of two generation Z kids who keep her eyes open on all cool stuff today’s pre-teens are exploring and married to inspiring handsome Brad Pitt lookalike ;).
